14 Bristol people still not turn up to claim prizes

The National Savings and Investment (NSI) data reveals that fourteen Bristolians could be waiting to discover a massive sum in unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes.

The news comes after a lucky Bristol resident hit the jackpot in August’s Premium Bond draw after scooping one of two £1 million. There are still 14 prizes of worth £1,000 that need claim in the Bristol alone. Moreover, there are total 15,611 prizes of worth £601,200 out in the region. In addition to this, more than 1.3 million Premium Bond prizes remain unclaimed across the UK. These prizes amount to more than £56 million.

Jil Waters, retail director at NSI said, “We know that sometimes it’s easy to lose track of paperwork or lose touch with your investments if you’ve not interacted with them for a while.” He also added that as this month’s millionaire won after holding her bonds for too long, there is a reason to go online and check if owe an unclaimed prize.

Above all, the Bristol winner bought her winning bond in February 2010. Her winning bond was a part of a £5,000 purchase and a £30,925 total holding. In addition to this, the unknown woman and the fellow Leicestershire jackpot winner have become the 367th and 368th winners of the £1 million jackpot, since its first draw in 1994.

This is the eighth time Agent Million has visited Bristol. Agent Million is the mystery employee who gets to inform winners of their prizes. His last visit was in November 2016, when a local became the 350 Premium Bonds millionaire. Ms Walters later added, “What fantastic news for the two women who have won the jackpot this month.”

In conclusion, Agent Million visits Bristol for second in a year. Although, his trip to Leicestershire is slightly more familiar after three Premium Bonds millionaires were made there last year.
