As per the Hoosier Lottery Executive Director, Sarah Taylor, a family from Indiana Country is blessed after scooping the $25.5 million Hoosier Lotto jackpot. The Executive Director, Sarah, introduced Rebecca Geyer as the family representative. Rebecca Geyer claimed Hoosier Lotto jackpot for Oct. 14, 2017 drawing, as Mariner Financial LLC.
“The family will prioritize using the funds for the benefit of their families and other causes they find important. The family loves Indiana, and plans to continue living here,” Geyer said. This was the first notable lottery the family has ever won. They had won a 50/50 raffle earlier.
The winning numbers for Oct. 14, 2017, Hoosier Lotto draw were 08, 09, 16, 20, 26, and 30. Mariner Financial LLC is expected to receive the prize as a lump sum payment of $16,579,692 before taxes. They bought the winning ticket at VGCS LLC, located at 1501 N. Calumet Ave. in Valparaiso. So, VGCS will also receive $100,000 as the ticket selling bonus.
