Geraldton Farmer Struck Gold, Claims $1 Million

A 30-year-old farmer from Geraldton won $1 million from last week’s Wednesday Lotto draw and claimed it as state’s 56th division 1 win of 2017. “I do not usually play Wednesday Lotto, but I was bored out of my mind sitting around at the airport. I started daydreaming about what it would be like to be a millionaire so thought I’d try my luck. I still cannot believe that the stars aligned,” the lucky player who doubles as a FIFO said.

He was at the airport on a two-week trip when the idea of buying a Lotto ticket came in his mind. However, the windfall came after a couple of hours from Tuesday night’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot. The winning farmer plans with his new-found fortune with his Mum and Dad. He considers it as an excellent opportunity to share this win with his respected parents.
