Jackpot winner caught at a petrol station in Carlisle

James Disley, a man from Huyton (Merseyside, England), won a prize worth £600 on a betting shop gambling machine. He spent the winnings on heroin to be sold in street deals to addicts. T suspicious police at a petrol station in Carlisle caught the 26-year-old red-handed. His punishment of 40-month prison sentence started yesterday.

Disley admitted possessing heroin with an intention to supply on 7th July. “He accepts that he knows people in the Carlisle area who use and sell drugs,” Marion Weir, the defending confirmed. According to the prosecuting officer, Philip Astbury, Disley had 19 offences on his criminal record.

He was anxious and looking towards the road next to his Vauxhall Vectra. It made the police officers suspicions. As per Carlisle Crown Court, the suspect then began to struggle at the Currock Road filling station forecourt. He attempted to throw away a chewing gum tin and kicked it away. The police officers seized the kicked tin and discovered drugs worth £1,000 in it. He also had £141 cash in his pocket.
