A man living in Cavan, Northern Ireland has finally claimed his winning Euro Million Plus top prize of €500,000 two months after the draw actually took place. The lucky winner who chose to remain anonymous revealed that he only realized he might be the winner after he returned to the shop from where he had bought his tickets and saw the posters for the Lotto winner. He thought, “There’s a big chance all this fuss is for me.”

The winner claimed his winning on Monday at National Lottery office. The National Lottery officials said the man was “certainly in no rush” and took his time in coming forward. On being asked about his entire experience, he revealed that his head has been spinning for the last two months. And, taking the time out before claiming it has been a real blessing for him. “Once I checked my ticket on the phone app, it felt as if my life would be changed forever,” he later added.

When asked about his plans for the winnings, the cool-headed Cavan winner said that he has done a lot of research on charities that are close to his heart and so he will be giving it to those who need it the most.
