€5.4 million Christmas LOTTO ticket bought at Dublin Airport

A Quick Pick bought ticket on last Friday has won a massive €5.4 million Christmas LOTTO jackpot. Nobody has claimed the prize yet. May be the lucky winner is probably returning home for Christmas. The lucky ticket was purchased at the WH Smith shop in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 at Dublin airport. The winning numbers for Saturday night’s (Dec. 23, 2017) Lotto draw are 5, 14, 28, 29, 32, 38 and Bonus Number 31.

“This was one of the busiest days of the year in arrivals, and the ticket could have been bought by somebody coming home for Christmas, by a friend or relative meeting a loved one, or an airport worker,” National Lottery chief executive Dermot Griffin said. He believes this is going to be a special New Year for the Christmas LOTTO winner. Nevertheless, the winner will have to sit for a few days as the Lotto HQ on Abbey Street in the city center will re-open on December 28.

The upcoming Lotto draw will be held on Wednesday, December 27. Currently, it is sitting at €2 million. The Christmas Millionaire Raffle draw will take place on New Year’s Eve, with a guaranteed top prize of €1m. The Chief Executive Griffin said: “We are delighted to be ending the year with our 12th Lotto jackpot winner of 2017.”
