National Lottery Player Wins £24.5M

Despite failing to match all six numbers drawn on Wednesday night, a National Lottery player scooped £24.5 million jackpot. This jackpot is regarded as the biggest win of the year. The player matched five main numbers and a bonus number for winning £24,501,283. However, the winning numbers for Dec. 27, 2017, drawing were 18, 36, 48, 57, 58, 59 and Bonus Ball 50. Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Wow – a single ticket-holder has banked the £24.5 million jackpot in this special must be won the draw. The jackpot rolled down, and they only matched five main numbers and the bonus ball to bank the biggest sum won on Lotto in 2017.”

By pairing five main numbers, 66 National Lottery players scooped £1,128 each. By pairing four main numbers, 4,807 ticket holders scooped £99 each. One player with code number NAVY 2917 0843 won £1 million prize in the Millionaire Raffle section. Besides, 20 other ticket holders won £20,000 each in the raffle draw. Guinevere Draw machine and four set of balls were used in Wednesday night’s draw.

One punter won the top prize of £350,000 in the Lotto HotPicks draw. But, National Lottery’s Thunderball draw went without any top prize winner. Its winning numbers were 04, 15, 16, 27, 32, and Thunderball 03. So, the Saturday’s Thunderball is estimated to offer a life-changing £3.2 million.
